My Interviews

Getting Into the Groove: Interview with Trish Hopkinson via Tell Tell Poetry

It was a great pleasure to be interviewed by Katie Askar for Tell Tell Poetry. Click the link below to watch the full interview and/or read a summary with tips on:

  • Scheduling
  • Accountability
  • Patience, and
  • Self-care.

One of the coolest offerings on the Tell Tell site is the option to share a poem anonymously to receive free feedback! You can also review previously uploaded anonymous poems and read the feedback provided, which can be helpful for identifying possibly revision options for your own work.

Tell Tell Poetry “is a poetry resource site dedicated to bringing you news about poetry, interviews with poets, and editing services.”

SUBMITTING YOUR POEMS DOESN’T HAVE TO BE HARD

If you’re new to submitting your poems, the process can seem overwhelming and time-consuming. Cover letters, bio, poems, research, ensuring a good aesthetic “fit” (don’t worry—we’ve got you covered! Check out our Submission Strategies course for all the details on the whole process of submitting your poems!), not to mention actually finding the time to sit down and make the submission magic happen. And most of us are also working and taking care of families, so you might be wondering, how do I make time or find the energy to submit my work?
