Sonic Boom is a literary & arts journal that seeks both solicited and unsolicited experimental poetry, flash fiction, and visual art submissions tri-annually. We hope to integrate multifarious genres of literature and artwork including Japanese short-forms of poetry, avant-garde, conceptual, and postmodern works of culture and art.
Their anniversary issue does not disappoint–filled with a wide variety of poetry forms, a section specifically for short-form poetry entitled “Paper Lanterns,” two fiction pieces, an interview with poet and editor Mark Young, and pages and pages of gorgeous visual art.
Read the complete issue of Sonic Boom.
Their next reading period is in February 2016. They will be accepting experimental poetry, Japanese short-forms, flash fiction, and visual art. There are no fees to submit previously unpublished work (personal blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc. do not count as previously published).
