The drawing and poem are part of a chapbook collaboration entitled Emissions (read it online for free) that we worked on together back in 2012. Calf Creek is a remarkably beautiful place in southern Utah that we have visited several times over the years. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend it. You can photos here.
Make sure not to miss the other two poems on Laura’s page this month. She carefully wrote response poems for two other Verse-Virtual poets published in the February issue: Donna Hilbert and Karen Paul Holmes.
Also, don’t miss the Editor’s Note, which is a pleasure to read each month. This month he speaks of the optional theme “Return,” the upcoming theme for April of “Poetry,” features the poem “Spring” by Edna St. Vincent Millay, and mentions the father and daughter combo of poets published in the March issue: William A. Greenfield and Sonia Greenfield.
