My poem "Footnote to a Footnote" published in Chagrin River Review's 5th year anniversary issue – with audio!

Very excited that my poem “Footnote to a Footnote” was selected by the editorial staff to appear in their special tenth edition of Chagrin River Review, a print and electronic anthology of the most representative works published in their first five years. The poem was originally published in the Fall 2013 issue and was one of my first publications in a national literary magazine. I’d say, this is the publication that really made me start believing in my work enough to keep sending it out.  This poem is my response to Allen Ginsberg’s “Footnote to Howl”  and is included in my forthcoming chapbook of response poems, also entitled Footnote, to be published by Lithic Press early this summer. One of the greatest things about this lit mag is that they include audio for most of the work they publish.

“Chagrin River Review is an online journal of fiction and poetry. The editors are faculty at Lakeland Community College, half an hour east of Cleveland, Ohio. This is a biannual literary magazine publishing new fiction and poetry in the Fall and Spring. The inaugural issue was released Fall 2012.
Chagrin River Review is named after the Chagrin River, which flows into Lake Erie in the Northeast corner of Ohio. Not only do we publish work with Ohio connections, but any poetry and stories featuring original and powerful writing. We publish writers at all levels, emerging and established.”
They re-open for submissions in August for their Fall 2017 issue and accept previously unpublished poems and fiction up to 3,000 words.
