“Hopkinson's method states that most poetry--if not all--exists within the body. Throughout our lives, we perceive images that words alone cannot express. By using language that appeals to our senses we can bring our experiences to the mind of another. The more visceral our images, the more they can push into the realm of creating a universal human experience.”
Crooked Teeth is a new lit mag out of San Francisco, CA and you can purchase a PDF version of the issue on their site for $5. All funds go to support the next print issue, coming out later this year. You can view samples from the contributing writers and artists for the current issue here. The third issue will be both digital and print. Submissions should be opening soon. You can follow them on Facebook and Twitter for updates. To learn more about Crooked Teeth, read my interview with Halsig for their last submission call here.
