It was a great pleasure to be interviewed by Melody Jones, president of Western Colorado Writers’ Forum (WCWF) on KAFM 88.1 Grand Valley community radio near my home on the western slope of Colorado.

Founded in 2010, the Western Colorado Writers’ Forum was created in response to the many writers on the Western Slope looking for opportunities to learn, read, publish, and teach. Our offerings over the intervening years have included two major conferences with national speakers and teachers; public readings on the street and on-air; workshops for writers in all categories from poetry to journalism to marketing; community outreach and collaboration; slam poetry contests; stage performance; open mic opportunities; a podcast offering in-depth interviews with local and regional guests; a blog featuring writing-related wisdom from local writers; two anthologies featuring western Colorado writers; and casual monthly get-togethers to foster writer connections.
