It’s always satisfying to have a found poem accepted for publication! My poem “Blue Daydream” created from lines in David Lynch’s film Blue Velvet was included in Issue Nine of Straight Forward.
Each issue is on sale in their Etsy store for less than $4, not a bad deal for an electronic version (PDF) of an awesome lit mag!
Also, they are always open for submissions with no fees, unless you’d like specific feedback or editing services. For $10 they will provide detailed notes on up to five poems, which at two bucks a poem sounds like a pretty great deal for some objective feedback.

How does one go about getting a found poem published, as opposed to completely original poetry? Is there a difference?

There are several literary magazines and journals which are open to nontraditional forms and found poetry. With found poetry, it is important to always give credit to the source used, but otherwise, having found poems published is the same as publishing original poetry. I have a list of lit mags that accept nontraditional forms and found poetry here: https://trishhopkinson.com/where-to-submit-nontraditional-and-found-poetry/. Thanks so much for commenting!
