Enjoyed the Podcast Trish. I especially enjoyed the end where you talked about rebranding poetry for the masses. I think PoetrySuperHighway's mantra is getting poetry into the hands of as many people as possible. It's much more eloquently put than that but I've spent the week writing a poem for a contest that had a 5:00 deadline. I made it!!! Anyway, I think I'm on 'EMPTY' word-wise!There's not a lot going on here in San Jose poetry-wise either. I participated in a some slams a few years back. It was a young crowd but certainly fun. They were passing out condoms during the event! That kind of young!
I loved your Poemball machine concept. Brilliant, truly. Anyway, I'm exhausted but I'm seeking out the very thing you've created in Utah, a place to be inspired and respected for what I do because it is really, really hard work. I feel like an old-fashioned artisan sometimes. I was trying to sand down a table earlier today and it was HARD, my dogs were staring at me like 'What the hell are you moaning about?' Writing brings out the same madness in me sometimes. And like you, I don't know what I'd do without it now! Happy week-end selfish poet'

Thanks for listening and for your comments Mary! It wasn’t that tricky to create a poetry group… but you do have to get out to open mic, writing type events to connect with those writers. You could think about starting one!
I know Trish. That’s my problem, I’d rather be writing!!!!!
One feeds the other… it does. Promise.
