The Review Review recently updated their list of calls for submissions for their readers. You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter to get updates and to follow their reviews of lit mags. Reading reviews of the lit mags you may want to subscribe or submit to is a great way to preview the types of work the editors typically publish. Founder Becky Tuch describes the purpose of her site on the About page:
Here, writers can get a deeper sense of the journals by reading reviews of the latest issues. This is not intended as a substitute for the actual journals, but merely a way to guide writers toward the journals that most interest them. Plus, this site offers a way for writers to keep in contact with editors. A story might not be right for a magazine, for instance, but a thoughtful and heartfelt review will be sure to make editors aware of your writing skills.
The submission calls this month includes a variety of online lit mags looking for prose and poetry. A few are paying markets.
DEADLINES: Listed for each call in the post.
FEES: Some of these calls may require submission/reading fees.
PAYMENT: A few are paying markets.
