My poem “My matter” published in Whale Road Review, Spring 2018 Issue

I couldn’t be more honored than to have my poem “My matter” published along side such wonderful company in the Spring 2018 issue of Whale Road Review. “These pieces will take you from Mardi Gras to Easter, from giraffe procreation to elephant extinction, from childhood memories to dust after death. We’re honored to share this beautiful work.”

The issue includes gorgeous work from some wonderful fellow poets/writers, including several who have guest blog posts right here on my site! Don’t miss poetry by E. Kristin Anderson, Emily Capettini, Erica Goss, Dayna Patterson, and book reviews by Christine Stoddard and Tammy Robacker to name a few!

Whale Road Review is an online literary journal that “takes its name from an old kenning. The ocean is the whale road. Whale road. Those words conjure an image of whales moving in patterns through the waters of the world.” You can read more about WRR in my interview with founder and editor Katie Manning. They reopen for submissions June 1.

To submit your own work, start here with my Submission Tips, then check out which lit mags and markets are currently open for no fee submissions.
