About the poets:
Trish Hopkinson is a poet and advocate for the literary arts. She lives in Colorado, where she runs the Rock Canyon Poets and curates the Poetry Happens series for KRCL 90.9 FM. Her poetry has been published in Sugar House Review, Glass Poetry Press, The Penn Review, and more. Her chapbooks include Footnote (Lithic Press), Reconstructed Happiness (Origami Poems Project), and Almost Famous (Yavanika Press). Hopkinson happily answers to labels such as atheist, feminist, and empty nester. She enjoys traveling, live music, and craft beer. You can find her online at SelfishPoet.com.
Sandra Anfang is Northern California poet, visual artist, and poetry teacher. She’s the author of four poetry books: Looking Glass Heart and Road Worrier: Poems of the Inner and Outer Landscape (Finishing Line Press), Xylem Highway (Main Street Rag) and Finishing School from Kelsay Books. She’s the founder and host of Rivertown Poets in Petaluma, one of the best open mic venues in Northern California. She also teaches with California Poets in the Schools. Sandra Yannone grew up in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, where the Connecticut River meets Long Island Sound. The sea and its perils influenced her debut collection, Boats for Women (Salmon Poetry, 2019.) The Glass Studio is forthcoming also from Salmon. Her poetry and book reviews have appeared in Ploughshares, Poetry Ireland Review, Lambda Literary Review, Women’s Review of Books, and numerous others. She is an AWP Intro Award recipient and has poems nominated for both the Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize. In March, 2020, she and her sister created the international poetry group, Cultivating Voices LIVE Poetry. She also co-hosts the bi-monthly reading series West-East Bi-Coastal Poetry of the Pandemic.
