One of these is a paying markets. This list focuses on poetry submissions, but most lit mags accept prose and art as well. The listings are in order of closest deadlines.

Though there is a nominal fee for submitting, this is a great market for new and emerging writers. According to Duotrope, their acceptance rate is about 12%.

I love this list, But Hark is posting no submissions open at this time. Did they fill up their pages already?
I’m not sure Bob, but it does look like they are not accepting anything right now. I checked Duotrope as well and it still shows the 5/31 date as the deadline. Thanks for the note!
