When I first started sharing submission calls, submitting tips, and other poetry related posts on my blog in October of last year, I wasn’t really expecting it to get much attention. But I wanted to keep track of information for myself and felt like sharing it as I discovered it might be something others would appreciate. It’s gone so much better than I ever expected! I’ve met a lot of amazing writers and poets and broadened my online community by a landslide.

Well you definitely deserve it because you provide such timely, interesting and useful information!
Thank you so much!
You’ll have to change your subtitle to “the unselfish poet” if you don’t watch out!
LOL, I write selfishly, to please myself, but yes, it’s a little facetious otherwise :). Thanks for commenting!
I am so appreciative of your site, Trish, and your generosity in sharing your personal stats. I would like to recommend the California State Poetry Society to your readers – ( you don’t have to be a Californian, or a member to submit. ) They have a quarterly publication as well as monthly contests with actual cash prizes!
Thank you for your kind words!
Happy New Year to you! And many thanks to YOU for sharing such terrific information with us.
Trish, I have had a bad year with health concerns and family feuds. (so to speak) However, I’ve written a couple of poems in the last few weeks that have brought me back to a place I’ve missed. I DO appreciate your blog and the info you send so freely. Thank you Thank you. I’m going to try to write more
Hi Cindy, I’m sorry to hear of your recent challenges. Sometimes writing helps us deal with things and sometimes just trying to get to it adds to the stress! I’m so glad my blog is helpful. Wishing you all the best and that 2017 will redeem itself <3.
