Call for Submissions

My poems "sideways" & "Interrogation" published in The Light Ekphrastic + NO FEE Submission call

Working with The Light Ekphrastic was such an amazing experience and the results are incredible. I’m blown away by the quality of poetry and art in this issue, and truly honored to have been able to work with such a creative and inspiring artist, Teresa Duggan.
The process is unique and allows writers and artists to share and collaborate. The editors select writing and art from submissions and then pair them together. Once accepted, I then wrote a new poem based on Duggan’s photography, and she created a new beautiful work of art to go along with my poem “Interrogation.”

Read and enjoy the November issue of The Light Ekphrastic here.

Also, they are open for rolling submissions and are currently reading for their May issue. Responses will be sent by the end of February.

Click here to read submission guidelines.

FORMAT: digitally online
FORMS: art, poetry, short fiction
NOTES: Those chosen are paired with another artist, and each creates a new piece based on their partner's previous work.

  1. Your poems accompanying the artwork are energy-filled. They really spark and I so enjoy the way you use language.
