TrishHopkinson.com included in Writer’s Digest 101 Best Websites for Writers

Thanks to my readers who nominated my site for inclusion in this helpful list curated by Writer’s Digest every year. A pleasant surprise to receive this issue in my mailbox while taking a month long break from my site, but I’m back!

I’m honored and thrilled to be listed in the poetry section as one of four specific poetry resource web sites, also including Jacket2, PowerPoetry, and The VS Podcast.

  • Jacket2 offers commentary on modern and contemporary poetry and poetics. They publish articles, reviews, interviews, discussions and collaborative responses, archival documents, podcasts, and descriptions of poetry symposia and projects. Not unlike a daily news forum, they will publish content as it is ready. Visit their index for an ongoing and comprehensive list of all J2 content.
  • Power Poetry is a digital community inspired by the documentary film, To Be Heard. They are a safe place for teens to exchange poems, find new poets, and hone their writing and multimedia skills.
  • The VS podcast is a bi-weekly series where poets confront the ideas that move them. Hosted by poets Danez Smith and Franny Choi, produced by Daniel Kisslinger, and presented by the Poetry Foundation and Postloudness.

Writer’s Digest provides a plethora of writing resources, including some specifically for poets. You can subscribe online or in print or just purchase a single issue to read on your favorite device. You can register for their site for free to have full access to all the content, including free downloads of writing guides, a free newsletter, tons of online content, writing forums, and more.
