Black Lawrence is currently open for no fee submissions for their open reading period in June.
“During our June and November open reading periods, we accept fee-free submissions in the following categories: novel, novella, short story collection (full-length and chapbook), poetry (full-length and chapbook), biography & cultural studies, translation (from the German and the French), and creative nonfiction.”
They also offer poetry chapbook consultations for $100 this month only to “nurture and support marginalized voices in publishing, this consultation asks for submissions by women of color and non-gender conforming people of color.” Bettina Judd, winner the Hudson Book Prize and published by Black Lawrence Press, will provide the consultations. Space is limited so submit ASAP!
