My review of chapbook Heart Radicals published by Yellow Chair Press + their free weekly poetry contest!

ycrMy first chapbook review of Heart Radicals by Les Kay, Sandra Marchetti, Allie Marini and Janeen Pergrin Rastall just went up on Yellow Chair Review!

This love-ly chapbook was so much fun to read and write about. If you’re interested in writing reviews, browse through some of the reviews on their Reviews/Articles page to get a feel for how they are written. Also, many presses/authors will provide a review copy for free.

If you aren’t familiar with Yellow Chair Review, set aside an hour or two with a glass of your favorite adult beverage and check out the variety of talented writers they publish.

Heart Radicals is a collaborative chapbook published by ELJ Publications. Here’s a snippet from my review:

These poems tell how love arrives, how it keeps you, how it burns, and how it speaks. The motion of the poems accelerates as each page is turned—taking readers westward to California into a love that heals, a love that wakes and saturates, and a love that makes maps to guide you through.
