Call for Submissions

NO FEE Opps for High School age poets/writers + other resources

Below is a list of no fee opportunities for high school age poets and writers. Read the guidelines carefully. Some may have changed whether or not they charge submission fees since I compiled the list. Some may be temporarily closed to submissions.

First, here are some other resources that focus on young poets/authors:

New Pages – Young Authors Guide

"Where young writers can find print and online literary magazines to read, places to publish their own works, and legitimate contests. Some publish only young writers, some publish all ages for young readers." Some of these will have fees, so read guidelines carefully.

PAYMENT: Contributors published online in Blue Marble Review will receive $25 per published piece regardless of length.

Polyphony H.S.

FORMAT: Online and print publication


PAYMENT: Contributors will receive a complimentary copy of the issue in which they are published; extra copies can be purchased at a discounted price.

FORMS: poetry, literary nonfiction, fiction

Stoneboat Literary Journal

FORMAT: Print publication

SUBMISSION FEE: None (gratuity submissions year-round)

PAYMENT: one complimentary contributor copy and will have the opportunity to purchase additional copies at a reduced rate

FORMS: any and all types of writing and visual art
