I’m so excited that my first interview in this 12-part poetry submissions interview series for Tell Tell Poetry is with Peter LaBerge, founder of The Adroit Journal! Peter and I have crossed paths many times online and have truly enjoyed being a poetry reader for Adroit, so it was such a pleasure to get some time to meet virtually and talk about how to navigate the stages and momentum of a writing career, the Adroit submissions and selection process, and what he’s up to with his new Ellipsis Writing project. Click the link below to view the recorded interview video or to read the transcript.
Plus, Adroit is currently open for submissions of prose, poetry, art, interviews, and reviews until August 31, 2021. There is no fee to submit. Submission guidelines can be found on their website here. And don’t forget to sign up for their updates to make sure you don’t miss future calls, contests, and other Adroit events.

I’ve really enjoyed working with the incredible staff at Tell Tell for this series. Stay tuned for more great interviews, including Erin Elizabeth Smith, poet and executive director of Sundress Publications and the Sundress Academy for the Arts, and Denise Hill, editor-in-chief of New Pages.
